I figured out it was gen 1. I'm more interested in the gen 2.

Additional resonator and better overall design which leads to less drone and a better sounding exhaust AFAIK. I have pictures of the two if you're interested.

Don't look at the VRSF. Get the HPF Gen 2!! Mine is paired up with AR kittyless dp's and the sound is phenomenal. I know two other 335i's around my area who have it. Robc1976 has kittyless dp's with it. I see the other 335i at Newbold BMW every so often and he just has the Gen 2. Hope you find one soon.

Problem is they are far and few in between for the HPF. If i was still twin turbo i would of picked up a VRSF instead of hunting and waiting for someone to part their gen 2.

Visually the differences are somewhat subtle.
