Sound resonator in Convertible?
I have had my car for about a week and after listening to countless Youtube videos and other reviews I don't think the convertible pipes sound through the speakers like the coupe. Any verification?

Ok...its not a resonator and the sound is not piped in. It is digital sound file being played through your speakers synced up with your throttle input. Yes it is in your car but it possibly could sound different due to the acoustics being a little different on a soft top car.

I was thinking the same thing, I really don't hear the exhaust as much with the top up as with it down. I remember test driving the coupe and hearing much more exhaust sound. I actually like the amount of sound coming from the pipes and with the top down it is even better.

I can't say for sure, but I think my convertible is still playing engine sound over the speakers. Especially in sport mode. The mid-shift burble really sounds like it's coming from the sub-woofers. (If that's really exhaust sound, I'm impressed.)
I agree it's louder with the top down. That just tells me I am hearing the combination of the active sound and the real exhaust sound. |

I agree, with the top down it is much more pronounced than up...from the back seat even more so.
Nice thing is there is no pressure to buy the m exhaust just for more sound. |
