Track days/courses, etc in NJ

Hello all, its getting closer and closer to spring and I'm getting more and more excited by the day. I've had my M$ for about 4 months now and enjoying every bit of. However, I want to experience the full potential in a safe place. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations, tips, etc. for someone with no track experience. Im really just looking to have a good time and have fun with my car. Thanks in advanced!!!

+1. In the same boat. Would love to hear what type of track days others in the area have experienced.

You guys should join BMWCCA. They hold lots of local events, driver schools, autocrosses, etc. The magazine is a good read, and you can participate in some interesting get togethers. Next month they are doing a tour at the BMW VPC, which I am hoping to attend for kicks. I haven't done many of the other events because of timing, but I expect to in the future. Also, there is a 20% discount on parts and accessories (including M Performance parts) at JMK (which I have matched at my local dealership.) If you join, use my number as your reference #486970

To give you an idea, the NJ chapter is holding a Driver school at NJMP in April and June, an autox in may (Edison) and june (MetLife Stadium), and the national BMWCCA Oktoberfest is in NJ this year.

If you are referred by a member, then we are both entered into separate drawings for M school!

We have at least two very active BMW CCA chapters right around NYC, both of which organize plenty of autoX and DE events:

A little further out, there are a few more:
