Anyone know what kinda of grace period there is on maintenance? I am coming up on my first maintenance - car says 1000 miles. Can I take it in early or do I literally have the wait until I run down those 1000 miles?

Depends upon the dealer.
If your car "calls home" to set up an appointment, then for sure you can go in early.

If it is highlighted in orange when you start the car, (1000 miles to service) then they can do the service.
