Service Requests from my car
I got this email today:
Good Day Your BMW has sent a service request for: 1) Standard Scope 2) Brake fluid 3) Micro-filter Should I be taking it in to the dealer to see if it needs anything? I don't want to take it and find out I'll be charged $500 for something it didn't need. |

You can have it checked out but just tell them you want it inspected for free. Most dealerships will do a basic inspection for free. These are scheduled items that might or might not need actual replacing.
Some people swear you don't need to replace brake fluid as often as BMW wants you too.

Anyways, if it's free to get inspected, definitely go that route. I remember my car told me my brakes would be done in like 10k, but then after my oil service, it was recalibrated and read something like 23k lol. |
