How does everyone set up their display and shortcuts?
Following on from the sports display thread I'm curious as to how people set up their displays.. are you a split screen kind of guy?!
I generally have the Nav on show in main screen, almost exclusively in perspective mode, and then adjust scale for urban areas, a roads, motorways etc. I prefer the full screen as I think that split screen devotes too much width to the smaller split (wish you could adjust this). However I do have split screen on/off set as a shortcut favourite, as like to see entertainment listings there, or sometimes the journey computer. The only time I sometimes change is if going on a long road trip, especially if abroad, then I set the main view to Nav with North to the top, and on a large scale like 10 or 25 miles, so that I can watch the journey like a map, and then have split on perspective view. For shortcuts I have: 1 Home 2 Work 3 split screen on/off 4 Connected drive emails 5 Saved radio stations 6 Messages 7 Trip comp 8 Journey comp

With me it's usually album art, or radio stuff.
If decent journey then have nav on and switch to split screen when roads n junctions get complicated. Also do the odd check of my tyres using tyre pressure screen. Also have the weather and clock from BMW online as option on split screen now and then. However it's pointless when peeing down everywhere as its a bit obvious on the weather Oh and sometimes just off and blank. |

Yep, mine shows media which is then replaced by junc view when on nav routing, then goes back to media after the junc Pretty sure its a check box in the split screen options.

Usually have Nav on the main screen with Entertainment details on the split screen.
Shortcuts I have at the minute are: 1) call Wife 2) saved radio stations 3) sports display (although may change as I've hardly ever used it) 4) vehicle info (tyre pressures etc. screen) 5) trip computer 6) on board info (overall mpg, range, etc) 7) screen on/off 8) split on/off |
