Help: Probably Need a new Battery
hi All,
My car dead yesterday due to a bad battery ( took the battery out then have the autozone charge it for 3 hours the was able to start the engine, then aftger shut off the engine and try to restart it, no luck i haven't gotten a voltage reading of a cold morning with my current battery but chance is that I have a dead battery or bad starter.... I was wondering if anyone know how to register a new battery, or any recommend shop in Lynnwood WA area that know how to do it. Car is 2008 E93, ( Battery color is black not white) Thanks. |

Just went through this. I bought the Sears Diehard battery for 165 or so, put it in myself. Easy enough to do.
As far as coding, I called Seattle and Bellevue BMW. They wanted 1-1.5 hours to register it. Even after I saids its not coding, just resetting it. Wanted 600-700 for the complete battery install, battery and registration... Local places as recommended further down in the thread for the PNW still wanted $100 to do register the battery. A local coder does it I believe but its $80 just to code, then 10 per feature. I think I may order the cable ($45) from BMWlogger and do it myself with their software that is free. |

I got this one: http://www.sears.com/diehard-gold-au...p-02851849000P
Just because it was a match on CCA and Ah, didn't want to have to recode the car on top of registering. |
