Steering vibration highway speeds
Car: 335i coupe 2009 with 94,000km (58,000 miles)
During the summer i was getting fairy hard steering wheel vibrations (more of a shake left-right) from 90-110km/h on the highway, anything slower or faster the vibration was not noticeable. Checked my front right tire and there is uneven wear. The inner tire is wearing out due to negative camber. As a result i had the wheel alignment and tire's balanced. Shortly after this I swapped to my winter tires and did another alignment and i'm still getting vibration during the same highway speeds but not as noticeable as my summers. Could my control arm's or bushings going bad? -No vibration during breaking -Vibration's on highway speeds with summer/winter tires -Tires balanced -Wheel alignment done twice -Stock suspension -Took wheels off, there is no play on the rotor when i try and wiggle it Last edited by db0mbase; 01-05-2015 at 11:53 AM.. |

I'm going through the same thing right now. Is the vibration more up and down as opposed to the wheel shaking left to right? I get it all through the column and even vibrates the dash.
