Feeler for selling MG M4
Putting out a feeler for a MG M4...I'm thinking about selling it and I'm trying to gauge interest. Let me know if anyone is interested. $73,500 obo Reason for selling: I have a deal on a GT-R that don't think I can pass up. The car has 3600 miles on it. Includes IND cosmetic package, bmw front splitter and lip, 15mm spacers, new blizzaks(currently mounted) and OEM tires. Here is the window sticker and a picture before the lip and blizzaks where mounted. The car is paid off and I have title in hand. I'll post current pictures in the morning. Thanks for looking |

ok guys,
420 views and only one person is interested... I assume the price is too high or there genuinely is not that much interest in a used m4, I know many buyers are ordering them to their personal specs. Give your honest thoughts on price / market for used m4's. I want to know what the potential buyers out there are expecting. The used market pricing is all over the place. autotrader search shows 30 listings with the average price of 78k. The manheim wholesale auction numbers change often and at the moment are at 68k which seem inline with dealers retail numbers. Give me some feedback, if all I can expect is a number in the mid 60's, it will help me decide quickly. thanks everyone. |

Like you said, most are ordering to their specifications. I built one online to give to my SA to order it and it was around $75k, so with a deal worked out, I can basically buy a brand new one for $73K, maybe even cheaper. Ur gonna take a hit on the price, just because you can buy a brand new one for the price ur asking for. It might be better for you to trade it in, save on taxes. Tax savings add up to a lot when ur talking $70k cars. Say they give you 68k for ur car trade-in for a GTR, thats actually about the same as selling the car outright on the forums because you will save that 5k in taxes when you trade in. Just a thought.

I agree on the trade-in tax difference, however the two Nissan dealers in my area don't have the color GT-R I want. The deal I have is out of state, five hours away. I negotiated the price before talking about my trade in... They told me they are not all that interested in a high-end BMW for the kind of money I want (69k) I felt like $73,500 was a fair price for a private sale on a 79k optioned car with a few goodies thrown in.
thanks for the feedback |

Guys are getting new cars close to the price your asking for. I'd rather pay a grand or more to get exactly what I want than buy a used car for a similarly priced new one.

Thanks for the input guys, I had no idea people are getting 4-5k below MSRP. I should have waited to buy mine. I have a local dealer offer at 65k, we are still negotiating but it doesn't look like he will get where I need to be. I'm reducing the price to 70k and will be listing it on auto trader next week, I guess if I don't see any real interest I'll be keeping it. Marckymarc305 if I do sell it to a dealer I'll gladly sell you the splitter and any other pieces you want. Someone has already called dibs on the snow tires.... Anyone know how I can change the price on this thread's heading??
