Talking TAG Year End Recap - Our favorite F80/F82 M3+M4 Builds of 2014

As the end of the year is approaching fast, we wanted to take a moment to look back and highlight some of our favorite F80 M3 and F82 M4 builds of the year! We built quite a few F80/F82 M3/M4's this year and each one is unique in its own way....

Note, these are in no particular order, And these are only a FEW of the builds, that were actually completed IN HOUSE at TAG. There still is all of your across the country which we have yet to shoot

To view the rest of the photos of each car - click on the image. Ok, here we go!

Starting it off....

Our Project M4, Miss Black Betty! The biggest wheel whore of them all

V1 - We picked her up and immediately got after it. Until our friends across the street at HRE could build us her first set of wheels, we temporary put on a set of 19" HRE FF01's re-using the OEM Tires(Satin Black on one side, and Gloss Silver on the other). We also painted the CCB Calipers Lamborghini Rosso Mars, The Interior Trim Pieces, Seatbacks Lowered it on some F32 H&R Supersports and did some more TAG Cosmetic goodies.

Then Came V2 where we added a set of 20" HRE RS103 Wheels in brushed Titanium Finish

Then Came V3. This one was a particular favorite of ours since we love the Bronze Wheels on a Black Car. We also did a special fitment on this setup doing a 20x10 and 20x11.5 setup which just came out stunning!

Right around the time our M4 was delivered, so was our good friend AutoArmour's Yas Marina Blue. These beauties were delivered end of June and we immediately got cracking on it. We fitted the F32 H&R Supersports, Painted the CCB Calipers Yas Marina Blue, As well as the Interior Trims, Seatbacks, and Fitted a beautiful set of 20" ADV1 Wheels finished in Satin Bronze.

We may or may not have broken the internet a little bit with this build - dubbing it one of the very first, if not THE first modded M4 in North America.

Right after Black Betty's V3, we teamed up with our good friends at Akrapovic, receiving the very first Akrapovic Exhaust System for the F8X Chassis. We felt it was only proper if we mimic'd Akrapovic's European Demo Car, with the Livery.

As some clients finally started getting their vehicles delivered, they began trickling in for various mods. This beautiful Mineral Grey M4 came in for a set of 20" HRE FlowForm FF01's finished in HRE's Satin Charcoal AKA "FOG" finish. The contrast between the Matte Charcoal Wheels and the Mineral Grey car really looked great!

Finally parts starting arriving that were M4 Specific. Here is a short quick build we did, this one featured a set of 15mm Spacers F+R and a set of F82 M4 Specific H&R Supersport Springs.

Mid August, our good friend Jason, the Founder of @TargaTrophy, a well known rally that we have been participaing in for the past 6 years, decided to purchase a beautiful Yas M4 to build as his daily driver. We teamed up with our friends across the street (again haha) at HRE, and did a beautiful set of 20" HRE S104 Wheels in Brushed Dark Clear. We then called our friends at Brembo and they provided us with a set of Front & Rear Brembo 380MM GT Big Brakes, which we had painted BMW Glacier White. The metallic in the Glacier White we felt was such a good compliment to the Yas Marina Blue, that we carried inside to the Shifter/Steering Wheel Trim, and Seatbacks. The car was then lowered on a set of H&R Supersport Springs, as we wait for a prototype set of Eibach Coilovers (shhhh more on that soon!)

Then we decided it was time yet again to switch up the wheels on the TAG Motorsports M4. We have always been a major fan of the BBS FI, so we ended up doing a set of 20" BBS FI's finished in Titanium on our M4 along with a set of Red BBS Caps to match the Calipers and accents. We also added one of the very first sets of KW Height Adjustable Springs as well, which greatly improved the ride over the previous F32 H&R Supersport Springs. We then wanted to tackle some of the cosmetics on the car. We went with the BMW Performance Front Carbon Spoilers, Front Lip (painted body color), Carbon Fiber Mirrors and Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler. We then wanted to do something different, being that everyone had seen the factory BMW Performance carbon additions, we went ahead and sprayed All the Carbon in Matte Clear (including interior trim) to match the Matte Carbon Akrapovic Rear Diffusor we had already fitted. We were left with the Carbon roof, so instead of spraying that, we actually added an XPEL Satin Clear Bra to match all the carbon accents!

After some time, we got a good call from a local client letting us know that he was going to be taking delivery of a Fire Orange F82 M4. The ideas started turning. BBS FI's were quickly added, typical cosmetic modifications such as the grills and reflectors were an obvious addition, but then we took it a step further. We painted the the Front & Rear Calipers Fire Orange (bodycolor), Added Fire Orange on the BBS Lettering on the wheels, and painted a few interior trim pieces. The car turned out stellar!

As more and more people started receiving their M4's, as did our good friends at @ENLAES. They opted for a beautiful Alpine White with Shakir Orange F82 M4. The car was immediately brought down to us and we fitted some 20" Vossen VFS1 Wheels in Graphite Finish, and a set of KW Height Adjustable Springs. The guys over at ENLAES also had IND send them some of their beautiful painted cosmetic pieces which we added to complete the look.

Since this shoot, we have fitted this car with a set of 20" BLK 502GTR Wheels, and an Eisenmann Exhaust System. More photos of that to come very shortly! Also stay tuned for the Complete Line of ENLAES Carbon Aero Goodies which we will be fitting in January to this White Beauty!

After the photos of Black Betty were circulating around with the Bronze P104's, we had a few clients that wanted to do a very similar setup! This client went with a set of 20" HRE P104's in Satin Bronze, a set of KW Height Adjustable springs, and the Akrapovic Evolution Line Exhaust System with Carbon Fiber Diffusor. The bronze with the Gold Carbon Ceramic Brake Calipers honestly was a home run, Especially against Alpine White!

As winter was approaching, something incredible happened. Our friend at AutoArmour's decided it would be a great idea to wrap his M4 in XPEL Satin Clear Bra. Something nobody had done before - Matte Yas Marina Blue! At that point, we also decided it would be a great time to add a new set of shoes! We went to our friends over at HRE and asked them to make a set of HRE P101's in the same fitment as the Bronze P104's on Black Betty (20x10 and 20x11.5), but we wanted to do something special with the finish. We played with a few different ideas, and we landed on doing a Brushed Wheel, with a Satin Metallic Clear! At the same time, we also added the complete BMW Performance Aero Kit including Front and Side Lips (painted body color), Mirrors and Rear Decklid Spoiler Carbon. This build was just truly epic. Those of you who had the opportunity to see it in person will tell you that the color looked like nothing we had ever seen before!

We finally had an opportunity to do a full build on an F80 M3. Until now, it was just a few spring installs, or cosmetic pieces on F82's, but a client come in and requested a full build. We began as a bone stock Alpine White F80 M3, and we added a set of KW Height Adjustable Springs, Akrapovic Evolution Line Titanium Exhaust with Carbon Tips, our TAG Painted Cosmetic Package, and topped it off with a set of 20" BBS FI's in Titanium Finish. There is already a round two planned for this car, and we are awaiting parts, so make sure you stay tuned for this V2 of this build in January '15.

In September of this year, we had the opportunity to take Our M4, The TargaTrophy M4 and the Autoarmour M4 on Targa's MEGARUN event. A gruling 4 day rally going on 3 different states, and really pushing the cars to their extremes. The cars were a blast to drive, were reliable and most importantly gave me, and the other two respective owners of the cars a smile each time they got back in for the next stage of driving! There is a great video that our friends at eGarage are putting together which should release in January about the run, but until then, I HIGHLY urge you to click the photo below and watch the trailer

Towards the end of the year we also added a set of 20" BLK 502GTR Wheels in Satin Brushed finish with a polished lip. The car came out probably cleaner than any of the other wheel setups we had yet to do on Black Betty. They looked so aggressive but very classy! Stay tuned for more from our friends at BLK Wheels in 2015!

Last but not least - The latest setup on Black Betty! We added one of HRE's newest wheels to the car! A beautiful set of HRE's newest line - The Classic Series. We did the Classic 303 Wheel in 20" With a Brushed Dark Clear Face and Polish Lip.

Thanks for a great 2014! We have tons of builds and more new products that we will be featuring including new Suspension components, new Aero pieces, new Performance products and of course new rollers Get excited for 2015 everyone!

Sick builds!

I just noticed in the picture where you guys installed the m performance parts and FI's that there are no grills installed in the pictures.

Stupid question, but what happened there?

Haha good question!

We didn't have much time to shoot the car before it was loaded up for SEMA, so during our prep we hadto shoot it while the grill surrounds were getting sprayed body color

We wanted to give you guys a little update. Our friends at Enlaes were recently at the shop, and added some goodies to their already stellar M4. We installed the new Eisenmann valved perfomance exhaust, which sounds spectacular (see video below).

We also installed a set of 20" BLK 502GTR Wheels which complement the white perfectly, and you'll notice have the same finish combination as the new exhaust tips. Now that's coordination!

What do you guys think? If you have any questions at all regarding any of the parts you see, please feel free to contact us by clicking HERE or PM for more details.
