335d exhaust on 320d

hey everyone, been doing bait of digging on the internet and can't seem to get a straight answer.

quite fancy doing an exhaust swap on my car however what am I to need?

I know the obvious of :
boot storage will be gone so I'm led believe
new exhaust (OBVIOUSLY!! )

is there anything else I need??

does it simply connect to the mid box or do I need reducers or any form of adaptors? I have seen conversions from 330-335 & by no means am I trying to pretend I have a 335 (would love one) but cannot find one I want & love the dual exhaust!

what sort of cost (isn) would I be looking at?

any help is great

Not sure without properly looking into it but may be an easier option just getting the dual exit tips custom done off your system to avoid a lot of the work and cost. Just get the diffuser and pipe work fabricated to provide the look.

If you do wish to try to go down the OE route then I do have an original 335i back box with the 4" DiMisa tips welded on if you're interested.

Style dynamics is North London offer a 335 exhaust conversion which looks oem. £550 including a genuine bmw performance diffuser or you can provide your own diffuser for £350 fitted

Why not go for the OEM BMW performance exhaust for 320d? People seem to like it from what I've read and its twin tip.

ive had this done on 320d and 330d. the set up you will have is different to real 335 set up unless they do it from the middle section

Your current exhaust currently looks like this:
____
l____l = back box
l l
l l
l l = single tail pipe
O

what many garages tend to do is remove back box and build a pipe attached to the left one. leaving it look similiar like this

l l
l l
l l============l l
O . . . . . . . . . . .O

550 is an absolute robbery. ive had it done in different areas. diffuser cost 70 from dealers. exhaust cost approx 200 max fitted and made. then you can sell your old back box and diffuser to claim cash back and in the end you will have spent 200 quid
