Checking true distance and speed?

Is there any way of doing this using my Business Sat-Nav? Cheers

What do you mean by "true" distance and speed?

If I go full tank to full tank, say 10gals, my car shows 44mpg that should mean that I have driven 440 miles. The problem is the car shows 400 miles travelled.
So that equals 40mpg. Now taking this a step further, if I travel at 77mph is my actual speed 70mph?

See this thread re range / fuel issues:

With regards to accurate speed. You need to code the KOMBI module:

BC_DIGITAL_V - set to aktiv for corrected speed.

BC_DIGITAL_V_KORREKTUR - set to aktiv for correct speed.

Thanks Sensible. interesting reading but I do not see any thing about car gauge accuracy.
I am aware of the hidden menu. Will I find the KOMBI module on the Business Nav. and if it is will I just see a temporary read out similar to coolant temp.?

Ah I see what you are getting at now with fuel consumption.

Out of interest what were your test conditions? I.e. Did you reset the average mpg when you filled the tank up with the fuel? Otherwise it will likely be way out. Apart from that I don't have any other ideas re the issue. Sorry mate

With regards to the KOMBI module. That's the instrument cluster module. It is an option which is active is permanent. As below:
