MPE with and without diffuser
I was checking the parts catalog, and I noticed that there are two options for the MPE (source): one for use with the diffuser and one without. They have different part numbers, and different prices. The one with the diffuser is $1,100, and without the diffuser its $1,233.03 (source). But in the diagram they're identical.
What's the actual difference between these two options? |

When you want to use the exhaust with the m performance diffuser, you need a much longer version.
If you get the option with diffuser und use the stock diffuser, the tips will stick out way too much.

Hmm, interesting. Are there any pics of the systems that show the difference in length?

Keep in mind those aren't the OEM M-Performance tips. Those are aftermarket pieces. The OEM M-Performance tips won't stick out quite as far as depicted plus the M-Performance tips are not slash cut. I have the "long" M-Performance muffler on my M235 without the diffuser. It looks fine, but with the diffuser would look better.

The difference is 1" , if you have the exhaust for the stock diffuser you can just slide the tips back 5/8" and it will fit the M diffuser just fine.
