Possible pricing on Monday?

I just got talking with a mil sales rep and he stated the BMW factory has been closed since 14 Dec for holiday and will reopen Monday (7 Jan). He thinks we could see some info on pricing next week. Thoughts?

BTW, I sent the BMW Munich representative for military sales an e-mail and got back a out of office reply until 7 Jan.

Would pricing not be coming from BMWUSA?

I would guess BMWUSA reports to BMW HQ in Munich, so I think they would have to wait for HQ to release it.

Just a guess

I fail to see any realtionship whatsoever between a factory (or Group HQ) holiday closure and re-opening with sales and marketing schedules. Such schedules are laid out months to years in advance and will certainly be formed with knowledge of such known closures.

I'm anticipating not knowing the price of the thing until after I've signed the contract, or at least that seems to be the way BMWUSA is going by accepting orders without divulging MSRP or options pricing.

There is no relationship between the two...just thinking that BMW HQ leadership in Munich will be back at work and maybe give or authorize BMW USA to release pricing info.

Just wishing

It is crazy that this car is being delivered before the end of February and that people are actually buying the car with absolutely no idea what they are paying for the car.

I was at the dealer getting my 335 oil change on Thursday. They wanted to let me know that they had the allocation for my M3 sedan and wanted to know if I was ready to proceed. My thought was... "Yes, let me just write you a blank check. Just fill in what I owe you in the next month or two."

So, a major automotive manufacturer shut their doors for over three weeks?

Let's not be hasty, if they hated us they would end the program altogether. Please "dis" them AFTER I get my car! I would hate to find out they jacked the price up for each rant they find on the boards. So, this is for you...

Now STFU and have a drink
