Couldnt Wait Any Longer.

Well, I took the jump and made an actual order on an 08' 335i. I am leasing it for two years, I figure by the time the lease is up the M3 will be here and will have DCT available.

Not a bad move, might lose money on the situation though.
Should be more options available by then and the waitlist "should" be done.

Don't blame you - it's driving me crazy to think I'm 15 - 18m away.

Its so nice, I got my production number right away...signed into the owners circle and am gonna keep watching the status. I can't believe BMW NA is treating the M3 buyers like this, its horrible.

I may lose some cash in the process but I drove the 335i today and loved it. Its plenty fast stock, and I plan on doing some performance mods right away.

I also ordered the lip kit, and am looking for aftermarket wheels in a style I like.

I went for the Coupe, I am not a fan of the rear end on the Sedan.

Enjoy your new baby!

Coming from a 400 ft lb producing 335 monster myself I can tell you the one mod to get would be the Quaife lsd...I wish I had.

Your timing for lease trade-in for the M3 w/ M-DCT should be about right.

That is one reason why I am hanging in for the M3. Plus, our fellow enthusiast abroad believe the car is worth it and I do too!

Congrats. The Dinan chip flash is available at the dealer and doesn't void your warranty. It is ~$2,000 but will give your 335 a significant boost in HP and tourque with no other mods.

My Client Advisor told me that I would kick myself in the arse when I saw an M3. Then you'll wished you've gotten an M3. So, instead of a 330ci, I went for the E46 M3 and picked her up at PCD Spartanburg SC.

I'm waiting patiently for the E92 M3 M-DCT.

Good Luck,

Good Luck,
I told myself this over and over, but I am only leasing it for two years, when the lease runs out the M3 will be mine. Hopefully all the bugs will be worked out and M-DCT will be ready.

I am in the same boat as you. I placed my order for the 335i last month and it will be here in 30 days right about the time my current lease is up.

I already have all my mods ready to go. DINAN reflash, BOV, DINAN performance exhaust, H & R spings with front & rear sways, aero lip, Mtech side skirts, rear bumper, and 19" BBS LMs

I am doing 2 years as well so by the time the lease is up I will easily get into the new M.

I'm with you on being tired of playing the waiting game and I completely agree on how nice it is to have an actual production number and KNOW that a new car is on its way.

However, you and I are more forced into our decision due to our lease turn in dates.

I think I decided to put down an order for an Audi S5, as I am tired of this M3 bullshit. I feel it is one step up above a 335, so I should enjoy it almost as much as an M3.

Great to see some of you guys are being pro-active as well! I think I will be very happy with the 335i for a couple of years. I like playing the tuner game a bit so the 335 will definitely keep me occupied.

Where are you picking up your MTech body parts? I really want the front bumper but from what I understand they are hard to come by?

The 335 is a great car. I don't blame you for becoming impatient. I am too.

I am also modding my 335Xi coupe; Dinan ECU, H&R coil overs and wheels. With any of the ECU mods, and a suspension upgrade, your car will be incredible, imo.

Congrats on your purchase.

Can't say as I blame you. I was hoping for March delivery...not looking so good. I will be back in the States in February...if the prices aren't released by then...not sure what I will do, need my speed fix!

What colour / interior? The 335i is a great car - and a lot of bang for the buck, especially w/ that Dinan re-map

Seems like an awful lot of money to dump into a car that is esentially being returned in 2 years but I can see that you do have a timeline problem.

I was soooooooooooooooooo close to getting a 335. I still want one, don't get me wrong, you just can't beat torque. BUT, I figure the LSD, M-Drive, EDC, etc should more than make up for it.
