Bottomed out real bad today

I pulled into a parking lot and bottomed out real bad (didn't see it) and messed up my front aero kit pretty good. It scuffed up the front edge of the lip, but there is a massive crack that goes from the front of the lip down under it for about 10 inches. There is a chunk the size of a raquetball thats completely gone. If you look from the side, you can see a piece of the fiberglass hanging down. its really banged up. Is there anyway to repair this that wouldn't cost a whole lot of money?

It looks a lot worse if you get down and look under the bumper, but I am afraid the crack will only grow and it will get worse. The fact that part of it is hanging down really bothers me!

Correct me if im wrong but I don't think the OEM aero kit is made from fiber glass. Actually if its made of fiberglass, its easier to fix, just bondo and repaint. but I think its made from the same stuff as the stock bumper (polyurethene?) which proves to be harder to damage, but once severly damaged like in your case, harder to fix.

sounds like your aero kit took a pretty bad beating. It might be better to just buy a new lip and call it a day. Especially if there is a huge chuck missing.

if your guna buy a new one, I would get some bondo and repair the old one the best you can and get some touch up paint to touch up the paint. Then off it on Ebay...make sure to tell the bidders what happened tho.
