Front PDC sensor activation?
There is a button in the F10 to activate them, if one didn't use reverse first which activates both rear and front ones (interestingly, VAG has chosen a different strategy and my Golf R's front sensors get activated whenever I approach an obstacle with a speed low enough for the car to "think" I'm maneouvering).
But I always wondered how it works in M235i - never saw one with the P button... Would they engage in a similar way to my R's ones?

Yes, there is a P button to activate this manually. Like your Golf R, the Mercedes system automatically activates them when moving slowly forward and approaching an object. They are just lights on top of the middle dashboard with beeping sound unlike the cool sensor display in iDrive in the BMWs. It would be great if this could be coded in to the BMWs (to automatically turn on PDC when approaching an object at slow speed.)
