Problem: uneven braking

335d lux tourer, delivered 1 Sept this year, now approaching 6000 miles. From around 1500 miles began to notice this issue.

Brakes retard unevenly. Not a left/right issue. But as if brake pedal pressure is rapidly being adjusted. Most apparent on a smooth road under gentle braking at lower speeds.

Taken for test drive with BMW senior technician. Quite apparent to him. Apparent to me even when in passenger seat. He said he had not experienced it before, but later found a 330d which was similar. He is away next week but will pursue further on his return.

Anyone else experienced this? Any insights? Please!

This sounds like an issue with the mix between regenerative braking and using brake calipers to me. The first bit of pedal travel on my car (with MS Brakes) does not inspire confidence before you get used to it, but with increasing pressure it stops quickly.

I found the i3 had an exaggerated version of this issue.

Take The Car To High Speed.
Say 100 Mph.
First Stop Gently.
Next Two Stops In Anger.
Drive For Two Or Three Miles To Cool Discs.
How Does It Feel Now?
