My new 228i M Sport first impressions

After patiently waiting for 2 months last weekend I picked up my new 2015 228i M Sport (mineral grey, 6 MT, cold weather pkg, lighting pkg). First impressions are as follows

Pros
It's a major improvement over the 128i I had before: better styling, better interior, better engine (very smooth power vs. the 6 cylinder of the 128i, quicker at lower RPM), much better shifting (smooth as butter, not as notchy as the 128i). Sensatech seats are nicer than I expected (in my opinion they look better than the leather seats I had in the 128i). Overall very happy about the car

Cons
None, except the lack of power folding mirrors (the button is not even there). I was surprised about that as according to the 2015 brochure they are supposed to be part of the standard equipment. I inquired with the dealer about that, waiting to hear back.
One other annoying thing, though not a big deal: the key fob seems very big. Not sure why they need to make it so big and heavy. I wonder if it's the same if you get comfort access

I agree the key fob is on the bigger side considering I have comfort access and never take it out of my pocket...

I don't see the power mirrors listed on BMW's site as standard, it shows it as part of the premium package. Could be a mis print in the paper brochure, or possibly just a mis-described aspect of the mirrors.

How's the sport suspension? Did you think about going for the track pack?

Nice combo! MG looks nice with M Sport package.
I agree that the Sensatech material feels better that the Boston leather I had on my 128i.

Enclosed is the 2015 brochure I had. On page 3 the power folding mirrors are shown as standard in all 2 series models. Not sure if there is a more updated brochure.

M Sport suspensions are fine for me. I was a bit afraid they would be too stiff (this is the first time I buy a car without testing it as I couldn't find one close by to test drive), but that is not the case. The track package would probably be overkill as I have no intention of taking my car to the track.

Yup definitely in there - print it out and bring it to your dealer. They might give you some free schwag to keep you happy.

First impression on the light package is that it's noticeably better vs. analogue, though I haven't had a chance yet to test it in areas with really poor visibility.

The key fob is larger because the car is an F series. Key fobs on E series cars is smaller.

Yes, already sent it to the dealer. We'll see what they can do.

Did you buy any chance test drive the M235i as well? I'd be curious to get your thoughts/impressions on the difference to the 228i.
- Is the "power" / pickup really noticeable?
- I really like the dual exhaust on the M235i vs. the 228i's single(or dual together on the left)

I tested M235i xdrive a week ago and it was amazing, the torque really feels in your bag. And all of it comes from 1300 rpm, gorgeous in normal trafic. Engine sound could be louder but I like it too.
Have you seen any test reports of M235i xdrive? I havenīt..

I did not. I actually did not even test the 228i (couldn't find one close by). I tested the same engine on a 428i, felt it had enough power for me and figured it would be even quicker on a 228i as it's a lighter car.
