Belt Tensioner and drive belt replacement

I have a 2008 E90, 328i with 40,000 miles. During my trip to the dealership he informed me that tensioner and serpentine belt are about to give-up any time. I did some reading on the forum and learned that it is a common flaw in these cars and many people had to get it changed.

I don’t want to pay dealer price for replacement. Any feedback on a local mechanic near Bellevue or DIY and where to buy parts.

Following is what I have found so far:
BELT TENSIONER – 11287530314 (old), 11288624196 (new)

Replacement instructions:
http://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/tech...eplacement.htm

Place to purchase:
https://www.oembimmerparts.com
Tensioner - $65 , Belt (contitech) - $25 (shipped)

Any local mechanic who can do it for reasonable price?
Recommended on a place to buy these parts?
any experience with www.oembimmerparts.com?

Funny, i just did mine at 100k miles, and the belt looked brand new. I'm not kidding you, we all looked for the smallest of cracks, bent it each way to have them stand out - nothing. Why this happens while on other cars they fail at 40k is beyond me...

I inspected the belt. It looks brand new. There's a slight wobble on the tensioner pulley. At tensioner, the belt is hanging out by 1 mm or so. The tech at dealership believed this is what causes the failure. Belt can start developing cracks from the pulley edge and finally break. Some people have reported belt breakage when driving, which can cause a lot more damage.

danielfastv6 - did you get my PM. can you please respond
