JB4 Install / Cleaned up the harness

I installed my JB4 this weekend. I wanted to make the harness looked a lot more clean. So I removed all the unnecessary connectors, and made sure everything had its own "pin" on the DB25 plug, vs. using the wire nuts.
Then covered it all up with plastic tubing, and BMW wiring tape.

When/if I ever need to remove it all, it comes out really easy, and I just have to tape back up the bundle under the cover for the CAN wires, and it will be 100% back to stock.
Little vid here...

Nice job on getting all those bundles of wires cleaned up under the hood. Looks like you put a good amount of thought in running the wires out of view.

BMS has been making JB4_F30 harness changes. First round was putting CAN wires in conduit, dropping wire nuts, and deleting unused purple connector. Happened a couple months ago.

In the future they plan to include the FF & EWG connector on all harnesses. No ETA for when that will happen or how pricing will change as a result yet.

Just finished my installation, I got one of the newer 3 harness cords and just taped up the blue harness but left connectors on, tied up excess wire, and used some velcro to secure the control box.

I also put on some black kidney grills and those were 3x the effort, freaking pain in the arse to get the old ones off. I could not figure out how to get at those damn latches without loosening up the whole front bumper giving myself room to get at those damn latches. Car is buttoned up like a SOB which is a great thing until you got to work on it and 100 screws later.

Car is looking and running great and pulling harder than before. Noticeable difference, very pleased with the results.
