7/100 Gold extended warranty -- how much to pay?

Friends, I'm coming up on 50K next year and am looking to add to the warranty on my 2011 335d, which has been a flawless performer to date though as they say in the Army, hope is not a planning construct. I don't have NAV so I will forego the Platinum. Pacific BMW can't help people out of state and I live clear across the country in Washington, D.C. Any advice on how much to pay or where to buy? Thanks, James

A quick search shows me at least 20 BMW dealers that sell the warranty for $3200, out the door, I bought mine for $3100...they all sell the same warranty...

Pacific hooked mine up and I'm on the opposite coast.

Pacific will no longer sell to you without a key read. I ran into the same problem earlier this year.

$3100-3200 is the amount I ended up paying for 7/100k gold.

Just FYI, I do not have nav, but do have platinum extended warranty. Radio was replaced under extended warranty at 80k miles.

No idea what that would have cost w/o warranty and if the extra cost would justify it.

If I didn't have the platinum, I would, most likely, have lived with the radio faults. It would not let me access satellite or USB from the audio menu.

I think thats his current email, I got a really good quote from him and it was lets just say thousands cheaper than local. So worth the investment for me. So far between 50k-54k new injectors, cbu cleaning and urea tank.

Damn! I should have taken the gold/cpo option when I bought this. It was about half the cost. I should call the stealership and get a quote with my current mileage.

I've been very happy with Jeff Steel as well. I actually just closed on the 7/100 Gold coverage with him today. Very professional and patient (I was delayed).

BMW's are POS big time, and expensive to fix, get the warranty, I have already had the cost of the warranty pay for itself, I have 3 years to go still...

Purchased my Gold extended warranty (4yr/50k) for ~3600 from Passport BMW. This was the price at time of vehicle purchase.

Are the $2k-3k rates based on the year of the car? I paid $1200 I think for another year of gold CPO warranty on '07 and that paid off for itself when I needed a new radiator and my door locks wouldn't open, even with the key.
I wouldn't buy maintenance warranty ever again but extended bumper to bumper/factory warranty, yes.

Yes, that is close to what I got as an estimate today from my local dealer. No room to discount, according to him either. No payment plan on the official BMW one.

I think I am going to pass on an extended warranty. I'm way ahead of the game from the money I've saved to date by not buying such warranties, but am aware of the many recommendations on the 335d to purchase such a warranty. I also don't have the money, unfortunately.

We'll see how it goes.....
