Hi everyone,
First let me start off by saying what a great forum this is! Its the first thing I read in the morning and the last thing at night. Great to see there are others like myself out there who share the immense passion for cars, especially BMWs, that many find to be an obsession. In the past I have owned 2 Mini Coopers, one JCW and one Cooper S, a Si Coupe when I was in was working in the U.S. for a while, but never a BMW. Since I became old enough to influence my parents choice in cars we always had at least one BMW in the driveway ranging from the 530, 545, 550, M5 Touring (a beautiful Silverstone with Sepang Bronze interior and the M6 rims - one of the last they produced delivered to Amstelveen in the Netherlands), the new 535 and now the new X5 M50d. In addition, my father bought himself the 997 Turbo when he turned 60, Artic silver with matching seats, centre console, and off course the PCCB option, that still sits in our driveway in Sweden. A classic that will never grow old. Finally it was my turn! When I moved to Stockholm from Amsterdam I opted to put my money in finding a nice apartment in the city, meaning not having a car was less of an issue as everything is walking distance, but it surely made me feel like a bird without wings. About 6 months ago my fianc and I decided that we would order a car and deal with the hassle of parking in the city, largely due to my great passion for cars as well as our wish to explore the country with greater ease the coming years, seeing as we have no children. I have always loved cars that can do almost everything, by that I mean cars like the M3, M4, M5, M6, RS6, AMGs etc. Performance of a sports car but can carry a couple golf bags and 4 persons in comfort. Looked at the M3 and M4 but for me the insurance cost was a deal breaker. Nothing wrong with anything else there. In addition, seeing as Sweden is snow covered for roughly 6 months of the year (I am exaggerating slightly), all wheel drive is not a must but it surely is nice to have. Drove the 435 convertible but the extra weight and the smaller luggage space did not appeal to us. Thats when we decided to go for the 435 i xDrive. Would have gone for the 435 d xDrive, but having two exhausts on the same side like the 428 for that price put me off completely. Besides, I like an engine that can rev past the 5000 rpm marker. So a 435 i xDrive was decided, but that didnt feel special enough. I had previously only seen a used 335 sedan in Tanzanite blue at BMW Solna in Stockholm that was beautiful, and my better half loves blue cars. I personally prefer black, so the color choice was a given! Next, the interior. Why do BMW have such strange interior color combinations for the 4 series with M-Sport? Black (boring), Red (too strange) and Beige (thats too beige). Once again Individual was the answer! To date I have not seen another BMW with Individual Nutmeg interior, so ordering it off the configurator picture was a real gamble. This was 6 months ago, and I can simply state what a color combo it is! Tanzanite blue is amazing! Such great depth in the paint work. In the shade its blue with a slight dark purple hint, at night it is pitch black, and in sunlight it reminds me of imperial blue. Simply stunning in my option, where the pictures dont really do it justice. Nutmeg is a great compliment as well. Darkish brown (darker than in some of the pictures) and with such attention to detail with the Bottega Veneta style cross stitching on the doors, the walls in the back, and the seams that run down the seats. Contrast white stitching really ads to the premium feel. Coupled with the performance brakes, that kinda match the exterior color and the individual piano black interior trim, the car really stands out compared to other 4-series I have seen on the streets in Sweden. I apologize for the iPhone 5S pictures that have been scaled down to be able to be added as attachments, but hope that it gives an indication as to how Tanzanite blue and Nutmeg looks like on a 4-series, as well as gives a nice color comparison to the stunning Azurite Black M3 that was posted on the forum a couple of days ago. I look forward to adding more pictures and adding more content and insights to Bimmerpost, now that I finally have my first BMW I can call my own! All the best, Martin Last edited by martindarpo; 09-03-2014 at 04:52 PM.. Reason: Couple spelling errors |

Wow- what a beautiful car. I happen to love the brown interior, really classy. I am also glad to see the color in real-life photos as that is the color I would like to order on my next F3x.

Thanks guys! Out of the two individual options I think I would go for the interior. Would look great with grey, black or even silver metallic exterior colors, that cost half the price, but still give you a more special feeling in the cabin while looking just as good from the outside as the piping around the seats really shines through.

I like the satin silver window trim. With the benefit of perfect hindsight, that's the only thing I'd have changed about my F31. Nice 403M wheels too!

Beautiful, I love the styling. I'd definitely like to order something out of the Individual catalog at some point in my life. Still a few years (and dollars) away from that.

We are a good 4,500 miles in on our car now and our individual interior looks as good as it did when it came out of the factory. I think it's a real bargain of an upgrade when you compare it to every other manufacturer.
Everyone who gets in the car remarks on it! A good friend who has a 6 series with the individual upgrade was seriously shocked when I told him the price as he had to pay the thick end of £6,000. |

I totally love the Individual interiors that I've seen, and yours is no exception. I wish it were a "standard" option for us in the US on the 335/435 as it really elevates the entire interior. Congratulations and enjoy!
