Tire Temps Weird

For some reason my front left tire is always hotter by around 10 degrees F than the other 3. Whats going on? Is the left side where the turbos are located or something that produces a lot of heat?

Same on my M4. I assume this is engine heat.

Tire pressure on my M4 is identical or within 1 PSI on all 4 tires and reads 33 or 34.

This may spell trouble for that front pushing it hard on track days. I wonder if the heat will make that much of a difference in tread wear.

My left front got way hot and tight with just 12 minutes of track time. Started 32 psi all around and front left went to 44, rf 40, and both rear 38. I assumed it was because it was a clockwise track but maybe something more to it?

I have had this happen in normal street driving, but it was the front right that was 10 degrees hotter and then it normaled back out after a few minutes. Pressures remained constant which probably means a software glitch.

This is fairly common. It happens on many of my development vehicles at work, and it's usually due to the placement of cooling and exhaust system components. On one vehicle I work on, most of the air from the cooling fan exits via the right front wheel well and the wheel/tire/suspension components in that area are typically 20-40deg hotter than on the other side.

My F80 does it too, but I haven't bothered to look under the car to see why.
