Smile How would you rate the Overall Comfort Level in Driving a 4 Series?

Comfort not just ride Comfort, but Legroom, headroom, overall space in cabin, etc. while in the Driver's Seat.

Overall I'd say it's about perfect for me. I'm up to about 12,500 miles now so I've had ample opportunity to experience it on short and long drives. I had an e46 330 for 12 years before my 435, and because it was a bit smaller, I considered holding out for a 2 series (last summer) instead of ordering the 4. Given the size of the 2, I'm glad I went with the 4. The only area of discomfort for me is the height of the window opening in the door. On long drives in the 330 I used to rest my left elbow on the ledge next to the window (not the armrest). In the 4 you sit a lot lower and the door comes higher up, which makes the ledge a bit too high to maintain that position very long.

I find it to be extremely comfortable, plenty of room in all directions. One of the most comfortable cars I've owned, not much more to say.

Thank you for your reply.

Did your 330 have less headroom than your 4 now?

I see that you owned a BMW TI before, I really loved mine too. How does this 4 compare to it? Interior cabin space, etc.?

The only thing with my Ti on these roads, I would bottom out on Sleeping Policemen too much (might have been the 16" Rims, lol). But otherwise it always put a smile on my face when I drove it.

One of them actually owns a W205 C200, they said it was pretty good. At the back, they didn't complain about not having enough room. They all said that the car is beautiful.

Ok seriously :

ride comfort : extremely high, which for me is too high, even in sport+. Too much roll, low sensations, no sound from the motor. I guess some people like this.

leg room: excellent in front but with my seating position ( i am 183cm high), adults will not be confortable at the back.

headroom: plenty

space in cabin: a lot, really, very wide. A lot of little places to put bottles, glasses, ...

Overall much more confortable and roomy than my e92 but a lot less sport feel.

For all the comfort things you mentioned, about 1 million times better in each category over my old 135i. That thing wrecked my spine

Do you have the adaptive suspension?

Not really. The geometry is completely different. I think the 330 had a bit more headroom if anything, and the headrests were decidedly further away from the headliner vs. the 4. The 4 sits considerably lower, and the roof is lower as well. Still, there is plenty of room, at least for me. I am 5', 9", but the seat position I prefer is nearly at the highest point available. There is plenty of adjustments available though, so I think that most people would find the space to be at least adequate.

Representing 435 Gran Coupe here...

Perfect seating position; not too low and not too high.
Ingress and egress is okay for a young to middle age adult.
I had a family friend member in his 80's have only slight difficulty getting in, but he probably wouldn't want to get in and out of it on a daily basis.

I'm 5 foot 6 and have plenty of headroom in the front, and decent headroom in the back.

Seats are comfortable and plenty of adjustments to suit your taste. I like to sit low in the car, and pretend its like a poor man's Porsche Cayman lol.

Rear seating isn't too bad, after showing many of my friends the back of the gran coupe.

Field of view in drivers seat is perfect, and not too many blind spots in the A pillars.

Blind spots aren't bad with properly adjusted mirrors, since Canadian 435's for some strange reason don't have blind spot triangle markers (!).

Noise Vibration Harshness is acceptable for a luxury car in this price category. You can hear the motor start and stop with auto start stop but its not intrusive to regular conversation. Running on 19 inch summer Bridgestone tyres.

Its good overall but coming from cushy MB and Lexus, it is more "bumpy". I think this stems from the fact it is more of a sporty ride but not like you'll get a miscarriage riding in one.

It's a ridiculously nice ride....one of the best I've been in...plenty of space, comfortable seats and the ride is quite good.
