Expensive for sure.

What always used to piss me off was the spectators clapping when you emerged from your wreck. I crashed plenty of times and always got a clap, but I didn't bin for their entertainment!

Regards

Chris

Do any of you guys and helen go to Goodwood? I go most years on the Friday which is has less crowds. Get there about 8.00am to go and have a good look at F1 cars and Supercars before the masses arrive.

Top day out for any motoring enthusiast and highly recommended. Really good atmosphere.

BMW usually have some nice classics on their stand.

As for the video the driver must of felt a right dick.

Hey Gibbo, It's local to me, I normally go as you say early on the Friday or Sunday morning, it is a good day out but isn't cheap.

Festival of speed was really wet this year but people still enjoyed themselves there were a few crashes but you cant see everything.

We went a few years back and loved it - work has prevented it every year since but may try next year. It was a cracking day out last time we went

I went the very first year. We parked at the top of hill and walked over to where the cars were finishing their runs. It was all very informal and we chatted with all the drivers and marshalls as the cars parked up. Met George Harrison and Ron Dennis amongst others. The 1950s BRM V16 was absolutely deafening and we were all warned to put our fingers in our ears by the marshalls. Subsequent years they closed the area off which was a shame.

Regards

Chris

lets make this a proper meet then.

Whens the best time to go?

Anyone got any clout with the organisers ie.e club parking etc / dicounted entrance etc.

Let me know and I'll organise something.
