I had to test the mlaptimer and launch control together. However I botched the attempt for several reasons.

1) I left the car in sport and not sport+ so launch control did not activate. My sport setting is set to comfort power train. There was a significant lag before the car really took off. I think whatever brake torquing I achieved did not yield anything, similar to what I would get from just mashing the throttle from idle.

2) since I knew I messed up the launch, it seems I let go of the gas around 57mph as my second and third pictures indicate. So I wasn't WOT by the time I got to 60.

Anyway even with all that I still managed 4.7s 0-60 run. The cops are everywhere today so I will call it a day for now and can't wait to see what the actual results will be

Cool, I'll try as well as soon as I get my car back from the dealer.
It's a bitch that we don't have that app on Android though :|

It's a great app, you should get an iPod if you really prefer android. Then that way you have your music and these kind of app on your iPod.

It helps you dissect what happened and where you can improve on the track. Clearly I am misusing it since I am just drag racing, lol.

I will see if I can try it today, but since there is a holiday close by the cops are out in full force. If anyone wants to try this I would suggest waiting until after the holiday

My 2013 335i Msport doesn't have LC, but I do my own version which requires a more throttle finesse.
But the launches are still really great.
I'd like to see equal 3's one with LC and one without and see how much improvement there is with LC.

If anyone gets a change to do that please post the results.
Or course, you could also try this on the same car, just do a couple of runs with LC and then do a couple of runs without LC but with all other settings the same.
When doing it with no LC I find that optimal rpm is right when you feel the rear end drop a bit. It's about a bit above where peak low rpm torque comes in.
Too much more and you get a smoky launch, too little and you'll feel the slight bog.
I'm sure LC handles it better as it must have better throttle control to go along with the higher limit of traction control.

So far I only have two scenarios, the botched attempt that got me 4.7s and I also did a run with no "brake torquing". I simply mashed the throttle from idle and I got 4.9s.
I did another run where I feathered the throttle from a dead stop but got 5.1s. With xdrive best results are achieved if you just go WOT.

I have attached pics, one showing my 0-60 time by just mashing the throttle, no brake torquing, the other showing my rpm at time of launch, the engine was at idle speed at time of launch.
