M4 vs C63 Black series race video

I really didn't think the outcome would be such a spanking....

im sure stock for stock, the outcome would be the same, as the mods are almost the same. power has to be available to begin with in order to tap into it.

More about how it delivers the power, me think.

Not sure I believe this. Maybe the C63 Black is stock?

M4 has the upper hand I think. Edmunds weighed in their Track Pack C63 BS at 4044 lbs! So 500 pounds heavier, roughly the same power with 600 vs 600, I think this is accurate. Stock might be a similar outcome since the S55 seems to be a categorical liar about how much power it makes stock lol

I'd be surprised if a stock C63 BS was not in the 11s since a guy around here has done 11.8@118mph with it's stock C63 P31!

To me it's not the HP figure that matters here. It's the TQ and the amg has more in this comparison. This would / should be even more evident from a roll as they show in the video.

Either something is wrong with that amg or I think we aren't getting the real figures.

Not saying the m4 isn't fast but shouldn't leave the NA car right from go without the turbos spooled. Just doesn't seem right.

Pull on the drag strip and show us your slip for stock.

The C63 507 (not the Black Series) runs the 1/4 mile in 12.2.

So does the F80/F82.

This video tells me little.

Can't wait to see some W205 C63 (4.0L biturbo V8) vs. F80/F82 runs.

Same generation (W204) vs. same generation (E9X) (both stock):

Why are we evaluating a video of two cars racing from a roll where, by sound, it appears the M4 started WOT before the C63 after which it maintained it's initial lead...

Is this supposed to be what passes for a controlled environment?

My thoughts as well. As entertaining as these videos can be, they're pretty useless when it comes to comparisons.

Stock for stock the Black has 40whp more then the M4. It should be a much closer race then this, I doubt either car has more then 500whp.

lolz M4 destroyed, I don't think the M4 took a jump that is as prevalent as the jumps we saw the C7 and Mustang do in other videos...

Not sure those were jumps. I think that's the appeal of NA engines. I think that was a clean start but the turbos were not fully spooled.

And stock for stock, the Black weighs about 500lbs more. And it has slightly less torque in stock form.
