Pulled the trigger on 435 Xdrive

I was really hesitant about trading my 2010 X5 in for a 2015 435 Xdrive GC but ended up buying one today. So I figured I'd pop in to the dealership to see what fully loaded X5 was worth on trade. There are no 435 GC in right now (they're on the boat now) so I took a 428 out for a boot. Previously owning a 335 I have an idea of what the 435 has to offer, but damn, even the 428 has some guts. I almost made the salesman shit himself as I'm taking corners at 100km/hr.

The dealership just happened to have ordered the exact 435 GC that I am interested in: M sport, M performance, Premium package with the lighting package....Glacier silver metallic with black interior.

MSRP $65,795
Sold for $67,900 all in including M3 rock guard and window tint

Should be here in 2-3 weeks.

Can't wait!!!

Congrats on the purchase!

Frankly given that the GC is here, I'm not really sure why one would choose the 3 series over the 4GC (aside from the (minor) weight differences) anymore

-Less rattles
-Manual transmission (in the US)
-More headroom
-Wider rear door opening means better ingress and egress
-Seats 5
-Wider aftermarket parts availability
-$$$
-F30 design is more classic BMW

My money still goes to the GC. If they had it in manual transmission here in the US, I would have been the first in line. Bastards.

Good points.
And I have to agree with the headroom in the back. I'm a "normal" person, height wise, and I can't sit straight in the back of my 435

honestly they should have just threw away the F30 body and made the 3 series what the 4GC is

That is what makes them different though. The 3 series features the traditional BMW sedan look, which appeals to more of the general audience. The 4 series is sportier and slightly more expensive, and will appeal to many others as well. It's a win-win situation for BMW and their consumers. Throw away the F30 body? It looks pretty good in my eyes, even if I didn't own one. BMW has sold >250,000 3 series this year...they must be doing something right

I drove a 428GC at the Un4gettable drive event and it was my favorite car of the day. I'm not sure I would convince myself, emotionally, to pull the trigger on the 428 instead of the 435, but logically the 428 had plenty of power and sounded nicer under throttle than I expected.

Congrats!

I found myself wish my 335 had a hatchback this past weekend when I had to return a bookshelf kit to Home Depot. (luckily, it was a nice day so I was able to use my Z4 passenger seat for hauling duties )

I'm definitely considering the 435GC for family hauler duties when 335 lease is up.

Frame-less side window doors aren't to everyone's taste.

Just my $.02.

OP, congrats on the GC...beautiful car! Enjoy!

That price is after tax, freight, 3M rock guard, and tint. I brought in and unhaggle.c0m report which shows invoice prices for all options available. I was actually pretty surprised how much they moved on the price for a car that hasn't even arrived yet...

MSRP was $55,600 + M Perf package $1900 + M Perf package 2 $2500 + Premium package $4900 + Glacier silver met paint $895

Total MSRP $65,795
Discount $1973.85
Sale price $63,821.15

Tax, Admin fee, Freight/PDI, registration = $4087.25

Out the door $67.908.40

They gave me 37k for my X5 which was what I owed... They never even looked at my trade either which I found kind of weird

Oh well, the Canadian black book on my trade was only 26-29k so I'm really pleased.

No they shouldn't of. Room in the back (and also in the front) is greatly compromised for the sleeker appearance.
