2015 M235i xDrive • Delivery and Build Thread
Hello All...
Wanted to share with you my personal car, and its delivery and transformation as we modify it with parts of my personal taste. The Car: 2015 M235i xDrive Mineral Grey Terra Dakota Leather Everything else is pretty much base. If anyone has any questions about the 2015 differences, please let me know... I was excited to find all kinds of goodies that weren't expected like Bluetooth with streaming audio, even gets the track info from pandora and lets me control the music! First Post: The delivery (with M Performance black front grills pre-installed) Next Post: Interior: Custom M235i edition P3Cars gauge (with oil temp!!), more to come. Next Post: Wheels (VMR v810 19x8.5 et45 square setup with front spacers) Next Post: Other cosmetic Mods (painted reflectors, splitter, carbon mirrors, etc) Next Post: Performance Mods (JB4, Springs, etc??) Wheels go on today, thread will be updated later this afternoon. (EDIT: Wheel/Tire thread added in the wheels and tire forum http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1028928) If anyone has suggestions on other mods that are a must have for this platform, let me know! You need the flex fuel wiring harness when using the EWG harness with the JB4 SII.

great thread! I'm curious...is there an x-drive badge anywhere on the car? did you test drive the RWD version and if so, have you noticed any differences?

Thanks for the info. Is the airflow significantly reduced?

Compared to the RWD, power and suspension feel very similar, it is obviously not as tail happy, but you can still get a good slide going because of the rear bias. Surprisingly, it still feels as light and nimble as the RWD did. I think the suspension tuning is similar if not the same, and the ride height did not appear to be any higher either. I am not a track junkie or anything, so I am sure others would feel things I did not. |

Not significantly, the bottom larger half is still open and you can aim it, I'm sure its different, but it still flows a significant amount... My left hand gets cold being that it is so close to the wheel in this car, so I usually put that vent on half-open anyways.

Your car looks great, congrats! I have a 2015 m235i xdrive on its way over as we speak. In the meantime was curious to know what kind of tires came with your xdrive?

Honestly, I do miss the coolant and oil temp gauges of my E46 M3. I was frustrated to find this wasn't available even on infotainment considering the "Sport" display. Did you order it preinstalled in the OEM vent or DIY? Looking forward to the install video. |
