Cleaning the HUD mirror

Has anyone cleaned the dust from the HUD 'hole'? How?

Unfortunately, my dealer attempted to do so, even though I have not asked them to...

Here's the result:

I spent 30 minutes to get it to look nice again.
I used Purosol (which IMO is the best cleaner out there) and a microfiber cloth.

I use this "system" to clean any of my lens (be it telescopes or camera lens).

Here's the result:

Thankfully they haven't scratched anything

I would use fine sandpaper to polish it first.

Then I would talk to the guy who asked how he should shut his hood. He might have an idea on how to do it right.

I would recommend compressed air to get the dust off. That screen seems like it would scratch very easily.

compressed air should be the only thing you need to use. There should be no reason to wipe it since no one should be touching it

Unfortunately it will build up grease and grime from the road. It will have to be cleaned from time to time with a solvant of some type.

Thanks! I think that's the route I'll take once it gets filthy
