Hi all,
Not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but I picked up my 2015 335 M-Sport the other day. I was expecting no fog lights with the package, but it seems like BMW has now started putting the fogs back in with the M-Sport for 2015. I was pleasantly surprised since I had planned on not having them. Am I correct that other F3x M-Sport model years did not have fogs???

They have always had foglights. My 2014 Gt has them and since the f30 came out in 2012 w/mpack they have been there

Yeah, but I'm talking about cars built for the US. My understanding is that US cars never had fogs, but other countries got fogs. I see you are in Norway, so that may explain why you have them. I know that I looked at several 2014 M-Sport cars and none of them had fogs.

Correct, my 2014 335i m-sport doesn't have fog lights.

Is the opening where the fog lights sit blocked out by black plastic? My understanding was that fog-lights are omitted from US market m-sports to allow for extra cooling to the aux coolant/radiator (one or the other, forget which).

The fog lights are on the far outside and then there is plastic mesh with large openings. You can see some auxiliary coolers in there too.

Interesting. We have a 2015 435i M-Sport that's built and waiting for ED on 8/27.

I'm torn now, would I want the fogs or not? Either way, we're excited!!!

Firstly the cars aren't built in America, but in Europe, not sure where exactly and here in South Africa. All M Sports sold in South Africa have the fog lights. So what I'm thinking or wondering is that maybe the South African built cars have the lights.

He never said the cars were built in America. They're built in Germany (duh!), where all the German-built (Munich plant) cars destined for Europe and ROW have fogs.

Also, all F31s have fogs, including M-Sports for the US. Cool addition for MY15, I guess.

Previous to 2015 they weren't on the Canada/US bound vehicles. However if you look at the pricing/ordering guides for Canada/US for 2015, Fog Lights are listed under standard features and no mention of M Sport deleting the Fog Lights.

It's unusual that they'd add fogs during a non-LCI year. My first thought was that it was a mistake, but I'm not sure how it could be since the fit would have to be specific to the m-sport bumper.

Either way, it looks great and will probably cause a few enthusiasts to do a double-take when they see you on the road.

F30 2012-2014 Msport had NO fogs
F30 2015+ Msport HAS fogs

F31 Msport HAD fogs (since intro)

F32 Msport NO fogs (since intro)

F33 Msport HAS fogs (since intro)

F34 Msport HAS fogs (since intro)

I saw a 5 series with 3 small lights just above lower outer grills I have. 2014 335 I and does not have them

Is yours X-Drive? Maybe the US X-Drive models have them.

I think this is key if true but i found this:

ZMM will delete STD or 100% equipment 520 Thats from the 2014 ordering guide.

ZMM will delete STD or 100% equipment 3L8 and 520 That's from the 2015 ordering guide.
