Dinan Bumpstops paired with H&R Sport?

I see that Dinan now sells the Bumpstops separately and was wondering if it would be compatible with the H&R Sport Springs?

Got the h&r sport springs but did not install them yet. Considering in getting the Bumpstops to see if it would improve the ride quality.

I know h&r says that the springs works with stock Bumpstops.

~ ok after speaking to dinan r&d (nothing in the works for the wagon due to the limited demand) ... therefore i am combining some components since very little is available for the wagon:

h&r sport springs & dinan bump stop kit

the h&r springs are designated for the 328xi wagon (part number # 28842-2)

and the dinan ‘bump stop kit’ is for a 328xi sedan (part number # D143-0013 - front $69 / # 335367627222 - rear $25.50 (each / requiring 2) - total $120)

according to dinan this will provide me with the best of both worlds considering the limited availability for m wagon... stay tuned for ride results.

cheers!

(update: the bump stops are actually bmw factory parts with all bmw part numbers: front bump stops are e36 M3 and the rear bump stops are from the e60 5 series).

If you haven't installed them yet why not just sell the H&Rs and get the dinan springs? If you're worried about the ride quality I would just spend a little extra and get the complete package.

For the 3 days I had mine D springs installed I was pretty impressed with how the car handled.

Bumpstops do not affect the ride quality. Their sole purpose is to prevent the shocks from hitting the chassis.

Unless you are regularly bottoming out on the stock bumpstops, you do not need to replace the stock ones. (The dinan ones are a little shorter to allow more travel on the lowered shocks.)

From everything I have read, this seems like a great idea to increase strut travel and prevent them from crashing over big dips or potholes. I just picked up a set of H&R Sport springs, and will definitely be pairing them with the Dinan spec bumpstops. I also have the DHP, so I am going to have the dealer install the Dinan EDC Shockware to compliment the lowered springs. From what I heard, the Shockware works very well on these cars.

~ I went this route and ended up disappointed...for the h&r sport springs are too low (short) and the factory bmw shocks (they are not the best imo) are weak. too much crashing with a hard bump even with the dinan bump stops. I ran this set up for about 5k and ended up with the kw's and wow I wish I would have invested the funds up front for the kw1.

Sell the h&r springs and do the kw's! A must if you're going to lower the car.

Was thinking of a cheaper alternative, h&r sport springs with the bilstein sport.
I just hope that I can get my comfort back without the crashing and bottoming out while having a lowered car.

I really don't understand why bmws xdrive suspension is so freaking high.
Audis Quattro and merc 4matic are nowhere near as high as the xdrive. They could be fitted with sport suspension while xdrive can't. So odd
