my Msport tourer came with a good list of toys except heated seats.
i had retro-fitted these in my E46 with great sucess
Is there the chance that my electric lumbar, black leather sports seats have the heater elements in them, just needing the electrical button pack installing....?

I cannot help you with this, but for my 2014 F30 I bought the OEM heating elements as a stand alone part.

I had my 2013 MSport 328i with sports seats retrofitted by Perzan Radio outside of Philadelphia. Less than convenient to the UK. They had difficulty with the passenger seat occupancy sensor triggering seat belt warnings but finally worked through it. The bottom and backs are heated with two stage heaters. It cost me $550. The heat pads are not in all sport seats. The switches for mine were installed on the door side of the seats toward the front.
