335d - Dyno Runs, Numbers, Data

All of the dyno data is strewn around different threads and it is hard to find. May be we should have it all in one place.

Here is Mine:

-2011 335d, Ecotune, DPF Delete, DEF is still spraying, EGR blocked
-Dynapack Dyno
-Weather: 20-21C (68-70F), 77-78% Humidity, Pressure 1015-1018 hPa
-Two Pulls, fan blowing into an intercooler and another into a radiator
-Can only do two pulls as it was a smoke show, there is a lot of unburned diesel even after full fuelling

Here is the Dyno Data:

Size: 192.5 KB

And associated parameters (Temp is in deg C), you can see where there two pulls are done:

You *may* be able to touch 280-290 with just the tune, that is my estimate. If you want to go higher, you will have to remove DPF.

So if I remove my DPF I will gain 40hp, no way in hell...

I removed the dpf on vw and audi diesels and gained 10hp,,,lol 40hp is almost more than the tune provides, so without my dpf I should gain 70hp, that's not even possible...to the wheels...???

Yes, at the wheels. Dynapack is an axle dyno, not a roller one. Techs at the shop said that for that dunno, those were very good numbers. They had a heavily modified Porsche before me and it was pulling 600 lbs of torque. But it's all subjective I suppose.

We both ran on the same type/brand dyno and our results were almost identical

What is baseline hp, if its 245hp like my car was that's a 80hp to the wheels with just a tune and DPF delete??? Which is like gaining over 100HP at the fly, most impressive tune and numbers I have ever seen...I should have got this tune cause mine is going to be no where near these numbers even with a DPF delete on my car...

You never know, but you will be comparing apples and oranges anyway. You are not doing a DPF delete if I recall correctly. Even same mods but dyno to dyno will have quite a bit of variability as others have pointed out.

I've seen a dpf delete hurt the car via the ECU (fuel reduction), so it's not just freeing up the dpf restriction, it's the lower EGT's that avoid consequences. It may add 20hp, and reduce 20hp worth of restriction. That is possible.

Sorry i misunderstood.. With a dpf delete tune and downpipe you should put close to 330 hp to the wheels

Your not going to gain 120whp with a tune and dpf delete with exhaust, Im sorry but the numbers are getting way way over inflated...Dyno's lie and so do the people selling the tunes...
