How many miles does your F30/F32/F33/F36 have? Any problems?
This thread is targeted towards those who have had the car for an extended period of time. Has it had any problems?
My car: 2014 F30, Sport, N20 328I, 8AT, AWD. Currently: 1800 Miles. No problems but I'd expect that on any new car less than 30K miles . My E90 was at 87K miles when I gave it to my sister. My TL had 145K miles when I got rid of it, and my E36 I took up to 165K miles

have had it for 8 months and 6k miles on the dot and no problems yet. The only think i have a problem with is the noise that is made on the silver trim on the steering wheel, it sounds really cheap.

60,000 miles on my 13 M-Sport 335 xi MT. (I drive alot)
Had small issues with Brake Squeal from 0 - 20,000 miles (Rotors and Pads Replaced on front and rear) Started experiencing limp mode a total of 10 times across 40,000 miles through 60,000 miles (In the shop for this for the 2nd time now, last time they did a system reprogramming and the issue came back) Grinding going into 2nd gear that was sporadic to now happening almost every time you shift into 2nd. Dealer thinks this could be a bad syncro which would result in a new trans. (In the shop for this waiting for an answer) I got platinum extended warranty and extended maintenance through 100,000 miles. Last edited by jbr5049; 08-10-2014 at 10:44 AM.. |

2013 328i Sport Line.
30,000 miles. The only issues we've ever had was, on two occasions, when putting the transmission into R immediately after a cold start the engine stalled. I surmise idle control wasn't quick enough to react to the extra load placed on the engine by the torque converter. |

- At the 750 miles mark, got limp mode. BMW replaced turbo and reprogrammed. Didn't have problem ever since. - Brakes squeal when they're cold. Bit embarrassing, but I'm going to put Stoptech BBK soon. - running on bms stage 1, afe intake, pss10 suspension, 20' rims. I do my own maintenance from then on since they fixed the limp mode. |

2013 328 Msport. 14500 miles.
All 4 rotors replaced under warranty for warps and passenger power seat switch doesn't work on hot days. Lots of b pillar rattling too, not fixed. Car is fine otherwise |

My car: 2013 335xi, 22K miles and "babied" re maintenance, care.
All was perfect until at about 1K miles ago the alternator belt tensioner seized up wrecking the belt and causing battery to discharge and water pump to stop/ engine to almost overheat. I did limp mode for 2-3 blocks to safe parking area where dealer's truck carried car back to the shop 2 miles away. Car repaired overnite and I picked her up next morning; no problems since. |

35k and free of any major mechanical issues-minor quibbles the dealer took care of. I have the 100k/6 year platinum.

2013 335i M Sport, 8AT w/tune, dp, cp, intake, muffler delete
Tail light internal bracket ruptured within the first couple of months owning the car. BMW replaced it. Three tires (19" Goodyear summer run-flats) have developed bubbles in the sidewall. BMW replaced all of them under the wheel/tire protection warranty. Not really an issue but the carbon fiber gear selector lever trim has a piece on a corner that sticks out ever so slightly but just enough to clip fabric / my skin lol. Never complained about it but it bugs me sometimes (mostly when I'm cleaning up and it catches the microfiber towel). Otherwise, no issues that I can recall! 2/2013 build 335i M-Sport, 8AT, MPE, MPPK, DHP: 17 months, 10.7K miles, 2 minor fixes:
1. Aux cooling fan replaced at ~5K miles per SIB (defective fan batch from mfr) 2. Brackets in brake calipers replaced at 10K miles per SIB (design flaw causing low-speed squeaking at 3-4 mph) Consistent high-20s combined mileage with mid-30s on the highway. No oil consumption.

2013 335xi w/ MT... 35K on it. had to replace one rim and one tire (different wheels) due to the brutal winter and ensuing potholes. other than that, nothing (though i do have a small rhythmic thumping that could be another rim issue...thankfully i got the wheel insurance).
