BMW Steering Wheel Roundel Peeling?

Strange one, I got my 428 back from the dealer after going in to replace a prop shaft.
I noticed that the BMW roundel on the steering looks like its peeling at the edges in several places. Almost looks like someone has tried to pry it off.
I don't think the dealer would have done this but not sure how this could have happened as am sure it was fine before I took it in. Could this have happened on its own? I know its only minor but has anyone else had the same issue?
Apologies for the crappy pic's

An hopeless problem. Decades old.

It was an issue on my E90. The first time the dealer changed the whole airbag because it was the only way to get that logo.

Then on my own I got something similar to;

Has been there for 5 years; no complaint.

My Msport wheel's roundel has what appear to be "bubbles" under the clear coating.
It does make it look cheap, especially since my 335i Msport is only 2yrs old with about
19,500 miles.

I know my dealer will take care of it, but it really shouldn't be there in the first place for a $52K automobile.

Not the "start" of anything, it's an old problem. It's because the metal and plastic expand at different rates when heated up in the sun, this causes it to delaminate which is the "chipping" you often see. Good news is, I believe bmw replaces it under warrenty
