6 weeks - squeaking noise
Happened twice both at low speeds. there is a squeaking noise that hear when the car is moving at about 10 MPH. it definitely happens with the rotation of the wheels, you can hear the squeak with each turn of the tire. The first time when I touched the brake it stopped even though the car was was still moving, let off the brake it started again, touched the brake it stopped. Both times this happened it only lasted for about 45 seconds. I am going to bring it in to be checked, any ideas as to what it could be?

Yep - had this same thing happen to me on my 2/13 build 335i. Apparently there are some brackets in the brake assembly that need to be replaced, and from what my dealership service guy told me, there's a SIB out on it. Took the car in and they had it done the same day, no charge.

get used to it.
This car has rattles/squeaks everywhere. You will experience them soon enough. If you are expecting the traditional built quality from BMW. F30 will be disappointing for you. |

I've had my F30 for nearly 18 months and apart from the aforementioned brake bracket issue, there are no squeaks or other "build quality" items. F30 is anything but disappointing - it's the best 3-series I've owned, and this is my 4th.

I guess it is a bit of a crap shoot to get a car that rattles and squeaks. Picked up my 335 in April and I've been hearing and addressing squeaks and rattles, nonstop since week 2. Passenger door lock pin, drivers side kick panel, ambiance light fixture under the ac/heat controls, squeaky iDrive trim and most recently, the shifter trim (and possibly cup holder assembly).
Even my memory buttons aren't evenly spaced and one of them is crooked. I've thought about taking it in to complain, but I've heard all the stories so I won't bother. Having an SA tell me that if I want a better interior or a quiet ride to "buy a 7 series" will only get me arrested! Say what you want but by any measuring stick, a $50k to $60k car should not be rattling and squeaking with less than 3000 miles on it. I am glad though that some of you got lucky and have a quiet car...gives me a little more faith in the brand to give them another shot in a couple of years. |

No squeaks/rattles for my car, but my memory buttons (1-8 or whatever it is) are definitely not lined up straight. Haven't bothered to check the display models in the showroom to see if they're supposed to be like that lol.

I've checked dealership models. They are all like that, to varying degrees. Mine included. Welcome to BMW, where profits come first. dL |
