F34 steering knock
Hello all, I have recently purchased a 320 GT M Sport and after owning it for 6 weeks noticed that when the engine is switched off when you turn/rock the steering wheel an amount of play is evident and knock is heard. This appears to disappear when the engine is running and power steering is operational.
I took the car back to the main dealer who assured me that this is normal and in fact showed me another 3 series GT with the same behaviour. Now, I am sure the main dealer knows what they are talking about but I wanted to see if other owners had noticed the same thing and if they considered this to be normal? Regards, |

I do hear a sound that could be described as a knock or clunk that sounds like it's coming from under the center console. It seems to happen once per trip, when I make the first (somewhat) sharp turn.
