Farewell 335d hello Nissan
After 4 enjoyable years of driving a remapped e92 335d it will be gone this week. I sold it for £7k & the bloke knows he has got a bargain. It needed say £1k to make mint again but that was reflected in the £7k no offers price.
I did consider an M3 but I didn't consider it a big enough step up (not wanting to start war cos I know how these threads can go) in terms of outright performance & would have been to similar ish to what I already had. I pick up my new car on Tuesday & it really is an animal. It's a 62 plate My12 GTR 550 |

This is a dream upgrade.
Mate it would be great if you could post more pics and a review once you have a chance to play around with it. 2.7sec to 60 is fucking ridiculous. |

Thanks for the replies.
All being well (the bank transfer goes through in the morning) I will pick it up tomorrow. I will post some pics & a mini review at some point but I am so busy work wise it will spend most of the time sat on the drive & to be honest it will get an easy life as did my 335. I did put £2k deposit last year on a leased limited edition M3 last year at £355 plus vat but they couldn't tell me if there were any available until I paid the deposit & surprise surprise they were all gone but they had "others" I could have. For a lot more money & less spec. The GTR has a warranty till 2015, has had all the services including extra services & the guy is giving me a set of brand new pilot super sports as well for the car so all being well it's just fuel & the next service isn't due till next June. I don't think I have words to describe the acceleration I experienced & it felt like it was magnetised to the road. Don't think it has really sunk in yet. |

Man im doing 3 laps in 3 cars saturday for my xmas pressie from the wife and i wanted to drive the nissan but it was fully booked i was gutted.
I see one of these piss all over a new r1 on some back roads a few months back and the speed it come past me is stupid. Perfect car and i would love to own one. How on earth have you managed to get one for that sort of price per month?

Epic. Looks stunning. You must have had a decent deposit to make a GTR affordable. When changing the Zed I had two offers on the table. A used GTR weighed in at nearly £900pm and a new one more like £1,400pm - think deposit was about £7k (not massive but alright I thought). My M3 is £440pm, deposit worked out as more in the end but not too much, and that's a 3 year deal. Consumables on these things would concern me but guess now there's a lot of alternative suppliers.
