That really is the most overpriced "supercar" ,as they call it, maybe ever.
Its not a "supercar" with a regular automatic like every other car on the roads.

if youve ever seen one of these things move, youd know how stupid that statement is.

the automatic in the slr is not a typical slushbox.

+1 The automatic in the SLR is so good that it keeps up with someone who perfectly shifts each gear in a Carrera GT. They have done actual test comparisons on this in the past. Sure you say that it is overpriced for a car that is several years old, obviously there are now vehicles that would outperform the SLR, but the SLR 722 is a totally different animal from the normal SLR.

seen it and have been in it. Its just like the box in a 335i. I just dont think its that great for the price. It doesnt even have DSG or SMG. Those are not slushboxes the trannie in that car is. It doe not have a clutch or a computer controlled clutch so its an AUTOMATIC. It is blingly fast but overpriced and loses a ton of sportiness being that you can only get an AUTOMATIC. This is just my opinion and how I feel about it. I think it looks hot but a carrera GT is nicer looking and much more or a supercar. The front end on the car is soooooo long and that is what looks strange to me. Once again just my opinion.

it better be its 3 times the amount of any BMW. If BMW ever built a supercar I can be 99% sure it would be better than the BENZ. But they dont so you cant compare.

I think you're just biased and jealous.

I've seen only one on the road. It was black, too, though not as blinged out as the one in this thread. It was just some regular dude (or chick... I didn't get a good look) driving, pulling into a PetSmart.

Like other big cities, around here, you see the occasional car that cost multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars. But I've only seen the one MacLaren SLR. I don't think there are many of them around here.

It was once my favorite car, but in reality, for the price you really don't get your money's worth when you could easily go get an LP640 for cheaper. I'll pass...unless you give it to me

all these people talking about value, these cars are not meant for you. honestly, you think value is even a factor for the intended market for these cars? sheesh

+1, For most of the owners for cars like those the MSRP could of been written in hieroglyphics. It wouldn't of mattered.
