FS: VAC Motorsports Intelligent Diesel Control Module $300

Posting for a friend that is selling his 2011 335d and no longer needs this and nor do I. It has never given him a problem and has never thrown any code. I have looked it over and all connections are clean and all clips are intact.

I will refer you to the main web site as I don't have any personal experience with it myself.

http://store.vacmotorsports.com/vac-...etc-p2081.aspx

I've posted some pics below and the receipt is included for your records and customer support. Please feel free to ask any questions via pm. Price was $300 and now is $150 and includes shipping to contiguous 48.

Garage List
is this just like a JBD, which one is better, this seems pricey new if it does the same thing...

It came off of a 2011 but he informed me that it runs on all the years (09-11).

It works differently but I don't have any specific answers for you. I would refer you still to the link I posted above that explains a lot more than I can or call them and see what they say the difference is.

I should have said in the first post that shipping was included for the price.

has anyone checked whether this actually changes the boost levels or not? I know it says it does, but does it really? If it did, it might be worth running this on boost and JBD on fuel...

I sent a couple emails to VAC regarding 2006-2010 (sku# VAC-ITCM) vs 2011 (sku# VAC-ITCM-F10) modules they sell.
no answer.

When I called on the phone, sales guy told me he thought there were minor engine changes. Can anyone confirm this?

based on parts numbers from the pics I believe this is the module (VAC being the distributor maybe?) which does not list year changes:

I'll trade him a black iPhone 4S near new condition for it. I'll pay shipping both ends. Doesn't hurt to ask, lol.

PM'ed you. Can you confirm that this is for sure the diesel unit. The unit itself says ITCM, which is VAC's term for a gas engine tuner. The IDCM is their current diesel module and in the link to the website, looks quite different. The receipt certainly says "Diesel" so I just want to be sure. Should this be the same tuning (Performance) as their current module on the site?

I will take it right away if this is the case. Thanks.

He has a newer iPhone and is in Europe now so don't think that will work.

If you choose to do so, you will be second in line as NWCT33d is in first for now.

PM'd you back and yes, as I took it off myself of his 11 335d, it is for sure a diesel module.

All questions are welcome and I will answer them to my best ability.
