Today I Learned ..

that if I have the triple turn signal enabled and when I use the turn signal in one direction, I can push it to the same direction again to stop the signal. I always thought I should push in the opposite direction to stop a turn signal.

I think I can get used to this nifty trick. Please post if you have any such tips to do things efficiently.

That's interesting. Our Ford has that feature and the salesman didn't know about it until I told him.

Tried the same routine with our car and it doesn't seem to work the same. In fact, it doesn't work. OMG, I may have to read the manual......

Yeah, I find this easier than moving the stick in the opposite direction and triggering the other signal inadvertently. I read the manual .... this feature is not documented in the manual

When I was test driving the F30, I accidentally hit the (triple) turn signal stalk many times. It was highly annoying, and then I learned you can cancel it out by indicating (triple turn) the other direction. Took some driving time to get used to it, but all is well.

You have to go into vehicle settings -> lighting -> select box for triple blink.

A few days ago I learned that If you leave your transmission in manual/sport and press park, it moves back to the standard position.

This feature does not work in my 2014 F30. I have to go in the opposite direction to turn off the signal.

Sometimes I use the triple turn signal and I try to turn off the signal, but I just end up activating the triple turn signal on the opposite side. Then I try to do it again, and activate the other side again... I look like an idiot when I try doing this because I end up flashing left and right all over the place.

I only get it to turn off the signal if I use it past resistance (not the triple signal) and then tap the opposite direction to turn it off... I'm so tempted to go full "Californian BMW douche" status and just not use turn signals. Ever.

Haha, I don't think it's just BMW douches that don't use their signals. I stopped doing that years ago. To put it simply people don't deserve me using my signals, but that is for another thread. I wanted to verify OP's feature but it doesn't work in my car. I do have coded the triple blinker to quintuple blinker so on the days that I feel like using my signals the quintuple blinker works just fine.

I think they are referring to deactivating triple signal once you hit it, not turning off the full signal. I can turn off triple signal by pressing either way, but cannot deactivate the full signal by pressing the same direction

Today I learned BMW has a remote app which allows you to lock and unlock the car, but too bad it doesn't have the climate control functionality. I guess it only has it with i models.

You also have to call BMW to actually unlock the car from your phone.
