BMW program eligibility....
I ordered my 328 in June, it will arrive in Aug/Sept coming from SA.
I've locked in Junes however it appears July's programs have gotten better, specifically the residual gaining two points, going from 62% (36/10) to 64%. My question is will my dealer let me switch to July's programs and even if they let me, am I better off waiting to see what incentives come out when my 328 arrives? |

Wondering about this too. I ordered the car in May (same program as June, $1250 option credit, 63% residual for 36mo/10k). I will be signing contract this month and noticed now the option credit is $1750. Haven't checked residual though.

It's my understanding that you can have the programs from the month you order your BMW (in your case May) or the programs from the month your BMW arrives at your dealer, whichever incentives are more favorable to you. I'm wondering if I can switch programs halfway through my build...

I faced this very issue. It's my understanding from speaking with BMW directly, that you can have whatever financing is currently available the day you take delivery or are offered a VIN. number.
Dealers WILL NOT tell you this, as they do make a small origination fee/bonus/etc. by placing the loan with BMW. I would not sign anything unless you're being offered the lowest % rate "currently" being offered by BMW. If it comes to it, speak to the financing manager and get BMW NA involved. They do clear things up and "can" be helpful, if you're friendly AND PERSISTENT! If none of the options above work and you really want the current lease rates- You can always refuse the car upon delivery- say you changed your mind, or you found a scratch, or you want a different color. I'm sure they'll accommodate. Not to get off-topic, but while on the subject of refusing delivery- make sure you INSPECT the car very carefully, during daylight hours, prior to signing ANYTHING. Really take your time with that process, as it's very hard to convince BMW to repair anything after the fact, and if they do agree, their options are usually quite drastic (such as respraying an entire door on a 2-day old vehicle, after they've accidentally burned through the paint, straight down to the bare body panel, with an orbital buffer, etc.... e'hem)... Good luck!
