How do you reset the Oil Service Light?

Hey all,

Changed the oil today. Drove around a bit thinking that may reset the needs service warning, it didn't....so who can tell me the trick to this? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Do you have idrive, if not its dome through the turn signal stock, it has direction in your service manual if you have one if not pm me ill give you directions, piece of cake easy.... I went to wake forrest my bmw was bought in Wilmington...

Now that the afternoon NC mountain pop up storms are done...followed the video and all is reset...easy peasy. Thanks again for posting the video Yozh!

i just had my oil change done too and they didnt reset it. i got mine done at Pep Boys(i have coupons so dont question why i went PepBoys) but do they not reset it themselves anymore?thanks for the video up there!

btw, i was just at Black Mtn, NC last month for my Sisters wedding who lives in Asheville too. very nice place!

Auto parts stores pretty much got forced into not doing them anymore in CA. Probably a BAR/union operation from what I remember. Last time I checked with AutoZone they wouldn't do them in CA either

Hey Thanks. Asheville is a great place for sure. Your sister picked a great time to get married as well. Next time you're in these parts PM me...don't have the weed connections but can sure take you on a good brewery tour!

We're getting off topic but... lol. My sister and her husband has a farm in Asheville called Blue Meadow farms. But he mastered Brewery. Lol. So that's covered. He talks about beer all the time. They had open bar all night at their reception because they brewed their beer. Anyways, I'll def take that offer next time. I didn't see much e92s or e90s when i was there and was having e92 withdrawal symptoms because i was there for 2 weeks.

Brewing your own is a good way to make for cheaper refreshments...too bad it was only beer not the the beverage in those mason jars......

I haven't seen another in the general area, although I was told by the dealer that there was one in the shop with CBU when mine was there for the same in the winter...My neighbor has the X5d.
