Difference in MPG when in Sport mode???

Anyone know what difference driving in sport mode on auto box makes to MPG ?? currently get about 440 to the tank...

It is all about RPM vs acceleration.

Regular mode will change gears at a low RPM. Sport mode will go higher and consume more gas.

If you change gear at 4-5000rpm it can be easily +30% more fuel overall average.... the engine stays in lower gear expecting something.

I did quite a bit of experimentation for the first few thousand miles in various driving conditions. In my case, there was about a 2 mile per U.S. gallon difference.

My experience is also 2 mpg per mode for 80 highway miles daily.
30 mpg econopro
28 mpg comfort
26 mpg sport
