435i mpg numbers?
I haven't seen alot of 435i fuel consumption numbers... but mine are low... around 17.5 is the average. And I drive pretty much in comfort/eco-pro mode 60% city 40% highway, without too much of lead foot most of the time. Not sure why its lower than the 22mpg estimates; I've had the car for 2 weeks now.
What are you guys getting? Does this seem normal? |

I avg 17 also. I drive 90-95% city in sport+ as a point of reference.

I've been averaging 15.8 mpg consistently in the city, with a (very) short stint at 20 mpg highway while heading to Jersey once - all in Sport mode. Much much lower than I expected, what gives??
I have 8AT, MPPK and MPE by the way. |

xDrive as well...
I'm averaging 21.2 mpg, about 50/50 highway/city. By comparison I was getting 18.5 mpg with my E92 M3 DCT coupe. The 15% improvement doesn't knock my socks off. Factor in the reduced fuel tank size - from 65 l to 60 l - this amounts to only a 6% increase in cruising range.

Lots and lots of highway driving for my 335i. I do a wide-open, no traffic 220 mile RT commute twice a week. I typically see about 28mpg average, with roughly 30mpg on the highway portions of my commute. Quite pleased with this.
Of course, the wife's F31 328d sees about 45 mpg highway and 41 mpg overall under the same conditions. |

I get about 21 mpg mixed 50/50 city and highway, although lots of the highway mileage is commuter stop and go. I pretty much leave it in comfort mode and drive like an old fart

Compared Eco vs comfort with not much difference. Average about 27, drive 30 miles a day for work, no highway, all city with some stop lights.

My xDrive has been averaging just over 20mpg US (converted from 11.7L/100kms) for my first 2000kms. I would say my city highway split is 80/20.

My 435 had similar low mileage in the first few weeks but definitely improved over time. I'm about 50/50 sport vs. comfort, and about 50/50 highway vs. city/country. I rarely sit in traffic though so that could make a difference. I have averaged 24.9 MPG over the last 4,000 miles.

I notice it over these first 3 weeks as well
It reminds of my old 5.7 litre Jeep Overland.. but this engine is only 2.978 litres and is getting about 16 MPG, Now admittedly I have been getting on it at times but I am getting about 225 miles between filling up.
