Hi,

I currently am driving a 2013 BMW 335i coupe with the M Sport Package, I am wondering if there is a way in which when I plug my phone in via USB, it automatically plays my music? Is this possible? Or with an aux cord? I use an iphone 5.

If you have enhanced Bluetooth yes, otherwise no

You don't need enhanced bluetooth, all you need is the Y cable. You will get the songs on the iPhone, on the iDrive screen and play them like you would play any external drive or CD. And your phone will be getting charged too.

Aux cable works too but you can't use the controls on the car / steering wheel to change songs if you use the aux cable.

And, by "335i coupe" you mean 335i sedan right? Or 435i coupe?

I think he has an e92... They had a 2013 335i coupe but it was a e92 body.

You actually don't need the y cable, the iphone USB cable is all that's needed. the earlier e9x models needed it

Can you shed some light on this? I don't have enhanced Bluetooth and when I plug in my IPhone with the apple cable, the car doesn't even pick up the phone. What's the deal? Do I need a Y cable?

Aah ok. No idea about the e92, but my f30 came with a free Y cable.
