Rattle under floor board when idle

I have this light rattle when accelerating lightly at idle (about 650 RPM). I have located this to be coming from under the driver side floor board. I can't tell whether it's a loose heat shield/panel or something more serious such as a loose transmission element...

Has anyone heard something similar?

Here is a video of it (audio only). My cell phone was resting on the driver side carpet. At the end of the vid I maintain the accelerator in the same position for a while and you can clearly hear the rattle.

Makes sense, must have picked it up last time I went to the local pig farm with my BMW.

Similar sound when I first got my '09 E92. Took it to my dealer. Embarrassed. Turned out to be my front license plate vibrating; I was keeping it stashed under the driver seat/floor mat. When the Service Manager pulled the plate out, he turned, smirked, and handed it to me ever so gently!

Haha.... Happy ending. But unfortunately I have nothing in my car.
