Thanks to tiltmode43 for helping me install the M Performance steering wheel this morning (and for selling it to me for a great price!). Matches pretty well with the interior and the M Performance shift knob/boot.

Looks fantastic. Alcantara, right? Is that the standard (non M-sport steering wheel) airbag? I've thought of changing out my steering wheel but don't want the //M branded M-Sport steering wheel.

I had the sport steering wheel as I have Sport Line so it has the standard air bag.
It's Alcantara and carbon fiber just like the shift knob and boot. They both just feel fantastic in the hands.

noticeably thicker like the M-sport wheel?

did you have the heated wheel? shame to loose it if you get the M performance or the F20 wheel

It isn't noticeably thicker than the Sport steering wheel, but it definitely is compared to the base. There was a post on here or bimmerfest that did a side by side comparison of all three wheels, but I can't seem to find it.

I don't have the heated steering wheel, so I'm not missing anything. In reality, it's the fact that the Alcantara doesn't get as hot as the standard leather wheel I think is also a plus. haha
